G.V.N. College Recognised as a Host Institution for “Vetri Nichayam” Program

We are proud to share a moment of honour and recognition for our institution.

Our college has been officially recognised as a Host Institution for the Government of Tamil Nadu’s “Vetri Nichayam” program, a flagship initiative aimed at training and empowering youth with essential skills for their future careers.

GVNC - Discipline Meeting & Mental Health Awareness Programme for Girls - 12.09.2025

A Discipline Meeting and Mental Health Awareness Programme was conducted exclusively for girl students on 12th September 2025 at the Self-Financing Campus. The objective of the meeting was to instill values of discipline and to create awareness about the importance of mental health and well-being.

During the session, faculty members emphasized the significance of discipline in academic and personal life. They guided students on maintaining proper behavior, punctuality, and responsibility both inside and outside the classroom.

Following this, a Mental Health Awareness talk was delivered, focusing on stress management, emotional well-being, and the importance of seeking help when needed. The session encouraged the students to build resilience, practice self-care, and maintain a balanced lifestyle.

The interactive discussions helped the participants gain confidence and clarity about handling challenges in their academic journey.







GVNC - One-Day International Conference - PG & Research Deparment of Commerce - 11.09.2025

 The PG & Research Department of Commerce, G.Venkataswamy Naidu College, Kovilpatti, organized a One-Day International Conference on “Innovative Strategies for Sustainable Growth in the Digital Era” on 11th September 2025. The conference served as a global platform for academicians, researchers, and professionals to discuss sustainable growth strategies in the digital era.

The programme commenced with a prayer song followed by the lighting of the lamp.

  • Mr. S. Palanikumar, Head of the Department of Commerce, delivered the Welcome Address, setting the tone for the conference.

  • Dr. M. Subbulakshmi, Principal, delivered the Presidential Address, emphasizing the importance of innovation and sustainability in commerce and management.

  • Dr. B. Makesh Kumar, Director (SFC), offered the Felicitation Address, appreciating the initiative taken by the department in organizing an international academic event.

After the inaugural session, the technical sessions proceeded as follows:

  • Session I was led by Dr. S. Sivakumar, Ph.D., Associate Professor, School of Governance and Development Management, Hawassa University, Ethiopia. He shared insightful perspectives on governance and sustainable growth practices in the digital landscape.
  • Session II featured Dr. D. Kumaresan, Ph.D., Professor and Director, School of Commerce, K.S.R. College of Arts and Science for Women, Tiruchengode. He elaborated on innovative commerce strategies for sustainability in a rapidly changing economy.
  • Session III was conducted by Dr. K. Balasubramanian, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Jain University, Kerala. His session highlighted the role of management studies and digital transformation in ensuring long-term growth.

The sessions were interspersed with tea and lunch breaks, which provided participants opportunities for interaction and networking.

The conference concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. M. Vairavan, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished speakers, participants, and organizing committee.

The International Conference was a grand success, fostering knowledge exchange, intellectual discussions, and valuable academic collaborations. It truly reflected the college’s commitment to promoting research and sustainable development in the digital era.



















GVNC - Universal Brother’s Day - 11.09.2025

The Self-Financing Campus celebrated Universal Brother’s Day on 11th September 2025 with great enthusiasm and harmony. The programme aimed to spread the message of universal brotherhood, peace, and unity among humanity.

The event began with an invocation song, followed by a brief talk highlighting the significance of Universal Brother’s Day and the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, who envisioned a world bound by love, fraternity, and mutual respect.

Students actively participated by delivering speeches, reciting quotes, and sharing reflections on the importance of brotherhood in today’s world. The celebration created an atmosphere of togetherness and inspired the gathering to practice unity and compassion in their daily lives.





GVNC - Free Dental Check-up Camp - SF Campus - 10.09.2025

 A Free Dental Check-up Camp was organized on 10th September 2025 at the Self-Financing Campus for the benefit of students and staff. The primary objective of the camp was to promote oral health awareness and provide preventive care. A team of experienced doctors from Sennakesavan Dental Clinic and Vels Dental Clinic conducted the check-up. They examined the participants, provided consultations, identified common dental issues, and gave valuable advice on maintaining proper oral hygiene.

The camp received an enthusiastic response from students and staff, who appreciated the opportunity to undergo a free dental examination and receive professional guidance. The programme concluded successfully, creating awareness on dental health and highlighting the importance of preventive care. 







GVNC - Department of Zoology and Health Club - Dental Health Check-up Camp

 

Dental Health Check-up Camp

The Department of Zoology in association with the Health Club of G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti, conducted a Dental Health Check-up for all the aided stream students on 9th September 2025.

The programme aimed at creating awareness about oral hygiene and preventive dental care. Students underwent basic dental screening, and the medical team provided valuable suggestions on maintaining proper oral health.

The camp was well-received by the students and proved to be beneficial in promoting healthy practices for overall well-being.

Special Students’ Talk on Teachers’ Day Celebration

The Department of English (Aided), under the banner of the Linguaholic Forum, G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti, organized a Special Students’ Talk on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2025 at 5:00 PM through Google Meet.

The event was graced by Dr. P. Mahendran, Secretary, Dr. M. Subbulakshmi, Principal, and Dr. B. Makeshkumar, Director (SFC). Students delivered inspiring talks appreciating the role of teachers in shaping their lives and highlighted the contributions of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birthday is commemorated as Teachers’ Day.

The programme reflected the enthusiasm of the students in expressing their gratitude and created a vibrant academic atmosphere. It served as a meaningful tribute to teachers and emphasized the values of respect and knowledge-sharing.

Teacher’s Day Celebration

G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti, celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm on 4th September 2025 to honour the invaluable contribution of teachers to society and education.

The programme began with a prayer followed by welcome addresses from students. Activities highlighting the significance of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday were presented. The Secretary, the Principal, and the Director expressed their gratitude and respect towards the faculty through heartfelt messages and performances.

Teachers were felicitated, and their dedication to guiding students was acknowledged with appreciation. The event created a joyful and respectful atmosphere on campus, strengthening the bond between teachers and students.







GVNC - The Department of Library - Awareness programme on Getting Govt. Jobs and Prize Distribution Ceremony - 02.09.2026

The Department of Library, G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti, organized an Awareness Programme on Getting Government Jobs along with a Prize Distribution Ceremony on 2nd September 2026, in connection with the Library Day Celebration.

The resource person, Mr.S. Maheswaran, Alumni Chemistry Department, Founder Director, Enlight Career Center, Kovilpatti. enlightened the students on various career opportunities in the government sector and provided practical guidance on preparation strategies for competitive examinations. The session motivated students to pursue their career goals with determination and confidence.

As part of the Library Day celebrations, various competitions had been conducted earlier, and the winners were honoured during the function with certificates and prizes.

The programme proved to be both inspiring and encouraging, as it emphasized the importance of libraries as centres of learning while motivating students towards government service.
