G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti successfully organized a One-Week Free Summer Training Programme for +2 students from 21st April to 29th April 2025 under the banner of the College Social Responsibility Scheme (CSRS).
The programme aimed to bridge the gap between school and college learning while offering skill-based exposure to the students. Sessions were conducted in Spoken English, Computer Basics, Basics of Electronics, and Embroidery, handled by experienced faculty members from respective departments.
A special awareness session on "Preserving the Environment and Living with Nature" was conducted by Dr. B. Makeshkumar, which was both eye-opening and thought-provoking.
On the final day, students participated in sessions on:
Career Opportunities & Employability Skills by Mr. S. Palanikumar
Personality Development by Dr. S. Sivasankar
Study Techniques & Fun Games by Mrs. S. Mahalakshmi
Events like “Happy Assembling” (a healthy snack-sharing activity) and Cultural Performances added colour and camaraderie to the learning experience.
The programme concluded with a Valedictory Function, where certificates were distributed by Dr. B. Makeshkumar and the Director. The coordinated efforts of Dr. R. Saravana Selvakumar and Mr. R. Sivaramasubbu, CSRS Coordinators, made this event a memorable success.
