GVNC - Founder's Day Celebration - 12.08.2025

 G. Venkataswamy Naidu College, Kovilpatti, proudly celebrated Founder’s Day 2025 in honour of our esteemed founder, Shri G. Kuppuswamy Naidu. The event paid tribute to his vision, values, and lasting contribution to education and society. It was a day of gratitude, inspiration, and renewed commitment to academic excellence.



GVNC - The Department of English (Aided) The LinguaHolic Forum Presents: VOICES OF FREEDOM – A Talent Show - 08.08.2025

The Department of English (Aided), under the banner of The Linguaholic Forum, organized "Voices of Freedom", an inter-department Public Speaking and Verse Writing competition on 08.08.2025 at Meeting Hall 60, as part of the Independence Day celebrations at G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti.

The event began with the Prayer Song and Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by a warm Welcome Address by Ms. V. Devika, Assistant Professor of English. Our principal, Dr. M. Subbulakshmi, delivered the presidential address, while Dr. B. Makeshkumar, the director, offered his felicitations. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. R. Saravana Selvakumar, Head of the Department of English (aided). More than 60 students participated in the competitions.

The forum provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their oratory and poetic talents while reflecting on themes of freedom and patriotism.












GVNC - Anti-Drug Awareness & Pledge Ceremony – NSS Unit 180 - 11.08.2025

G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti, organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme and Pledge Ceremony on August 11, 2025, in support of the initiative by the Tamil Nadu Government. The event was held in the presence of the College SecretaryPrincipalDirector, NSS Programme Officers, faculty, and students.

Students took a strong stand against drug abuse by pledging to lead a healthy and responsible life. The programme highlighted the importance of creating a drug-free campus and raising awareness among youth.







GVNC - Vasthu Pooja Ceremony for New Classroom Construction - 08.08.2025

A Vasthu Pooja ceremony was held to mark the beginning of the construction of a new classroom on the first floor of the B.Com (PA) building at G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti. The auspicious event was attended by the Secretary, Director, Principal, and faculty members, who participated with devotion and enthusiasm.

This new addition reflects the institution’s continued commitment to enhancing academic infrastructure and providing students with a conducive learning environment.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to the Management and the GVN College Trust for their unwavering support, vision, and dedication to the growth and development of the college. Their initiatives play a vital role in shaping the future of our students and the institution as a whole.

GVNC - Students' Grievance Cell: Meeting with Student Representatives – 07.08.2025

The Students' Grievance Cell of G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous) organized a meeting with student representatives on 07.08.2025 at the college seminar hall. The session was conducted in the presence of our respected Director, Dr. B. Makeshkumar.

The meeting began with a warm welcome address delivered by Dr. T. Saratha Devi, Convenor of the Students' Grievance Committee. Following this, the Director addressed the gathering and steered the meeting forward.

The primary focus of the discussion was on the credit transfer process for students who have completed online courses through platforms such as NPTEL, Coursera, edX, and others. The committee provided detailed guidelines on the procedures and requirements, ensuring clarity and understanding among the students.

Various academic concerns were also discussed, including course-related difficulties and examination issues. The committee encouraged students to voice their grievances, promptly responding and providing practical solutions.

The meeting also served as a platform to gather student feedback regarding their academic experiences. This feedback will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of education and addressing student needs effectively.

The session concluded with a reaffirmation of the institution’s commitment to supporting students and fostering a positive and productive academic environment. The Grievance Committee, along with the Director, assured continued efforts to resolve academic issues and guide students towards success.









GVNC - Founder's Day - Mega Blood Donation Camp - 07.08.2025

As part of the Founder’s Day celebrations, G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti, organized a Blood Donation Camp on campus. The event was jointly conducted by the Youth Red Cross, and National Service Scheme (Units 180, 51, & 52).

Student volunteers from the YRC and NSS actively participated and generously donated blood to the Government Hospital, Kovilpatti.

The camp was held in the presence of Dr. G. Thulasi Lakshmi, Blood Bank Officer, Government Hospital, Kovilpatti, along with Mr. Balasubramanian (Health Inspector), Mr. Karunanidhi (Health Supervisor), and Mr. Xavier (Lab Technician).

The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. P. Mahendran (Secretary), Dr. M. Subbulakshmi (Principal), and Dr. B. Makeshkumar (Director). Special thanks to Dr. K. Mariyappan (YRC Coordinator), and NSS Programme Officers Mr. Marisamy, Ms. A. Revathi, and Ms. K. Renukadevi for coordinating the programme successfully.








GVNC - IQAC Staff Meeting - 04.08.2025

IQAC Meeting

We successfully conducted our Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) meeting on 4th August 2025 at G.V. Naidu College, Kovilpatti. The session, held in the presence of our respected secretary, Principal, and Director (SFC), focused on key academic and institutional priorities for 2024–2025.

Important discussions covered AQAR planning, placement drives, higher education, feedback analysis, research progress, ICT-enabled teaching, alumni involvement, and innovative best practices. Each department contributed meaningful insights to support continuous quality improvement.

Together, we reaffirm our commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development. Here's to a productive year ahead!
