As part of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti organized a Women’s Day Celebration on 09 March 2026 at the college auditorium.

The programme featured inspiring addresses by the Chief Guests, Kalaimamani Mrs. M. Amalapushpam, Music Teacher, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kovilpatti, and Mrs. B. K. Gayathri, Founder of Brave Mom Naturals.

The event highlighted the strength, achievements, and contributions of women in society. Faculty members and students enthusiastically participated in the celebration, making the programme a meaningful and memorable part of the college’s Diamond Jubilee festivities.

CSRS - Mega Free Eye Camp - 08.03.2026 

 As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti, under the College Social Responsibility Scheme (CSRS), organized a Mega Free Eye Camp on 08 March 2026 at the Sri N. Damotharan Memorial Auditorium (SF Campus) in collaboration with Aravind Eye Hospital, Kovilpatti and the Thoothukudi District Blindness Control Society.

The camp was conducted by Dr. Aaba V. Raj and his medical team from Aravind Eye Hospital. More than 120 people from the college and surrounding community benefited from free eye screening and consultation. During the camp, 21 patients identified with cataract were referred to Aravind Eye Hospital for free cataract surgery.

The programme was successfully organized by the CSRS Coordinators, Dr. R. Saravana Selvakumar (Assistant Professor of English) and Mr. V. Sivaramasubbu (Assistant Professor of Electronics) with the support of faculty members and student volunteers.

The initiative reflects the college’s commitment to community service, healthcare awareness, and social responsibility.

 With immense pride and gratitude, Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti celebrates its Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 glorious years of excellence in education, research, and service to society.

The Diamond Jubilee celebration was graced by Dr. K. Sathyanarayanan, Secretary, Mani Higher Secondary School and Chief Educational Officer, KNC Trust, as the Chief Guest. His presence and inspiring words added great significance to the occasion.

Since its establishment, the college has been committed to nurturing young minds, fostering academic excellence, and promoting values that shape responsible citizens. Over the decades, the institution has grown into a vibrant center of learning, producing thousands of successful graduates who contribute meaningfully to society.
