Department of Statistics Organises "Reminiscence 2K26" – Alumni Meet
The Department of Statistics, G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti, successfully organized its Alumni Meet – "Reminiscence 2K26" on 22 March 2026 at the Seminar Hall. The event brought together alumni, faculty members, and students to celebrate cherished memories and strengthen the bond between the department and its graduates.
The programme commenced with the registration of alumni followed by a prayer song. The gathering was welcomed by Ms. S. Panbumathi (III Year). The occasion was presided over by Dr. M. Subbulakshmi, Principal (i/c), while Dr. B. Makesh Kumar, Director (i/c), Self-Financing Wing, delivered the felicitation address. Dr. T. Saratha Devi, Head of the Department, addressed the gathering and highlighted the achievements and growth of the department.
A special "Memories Lane" slideshow rekindled nostalgic moments, followed by inspiring alumni interactions where former students shared their professional journeys and experiences. The event also featured vibrant cultural performances, including dance, music, poetry, and interactive games, creating a joyful and engaging atmosphere.
The programme concluded with the presentation of mementoes to the alumni, a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr. T. Sivapandian, Senior Article Assistant (TL), Jaya Krithika & Associates, Madurai, followed by a group photograph, networking session, and lunch. The alumni meet served as a memorable occasion that celebrated lifelong connections and inspired the current students through the experiences of their seniors.
