 GVN College Extends Social Responsibility Support to Long Life Centre

G. Venkataswamy Naidu College (Autonomous), Kovilpatti, as part of its College Social Responsibility Scheme (CSRS), undertook a social service initiative by visiting the Long Life Centre, Kovilpatti, which provides care and support for elderly people.

The visit provided an opportunity for the college team to interact with and extend support to the elderly residents of the centre. Selin, Proprietor of the Long Life Centre, has been taking dedicated care of the elderly people and working towards their well-being and comfort.

As a gesture of care and social responsibility, G. Venkataswamy Naidu College provided a water purifier to the centre to support the residents with access to safe and clean drinking water.

The initiative was carried out with the participation of the Principal, representatives of the college management, Mr. Venkatesan, Dr. Revathi, Dr. Sangareswari, faculty members and student representatives. Their participation reflected the college's continued commitment to community welfare and social responsibility.

The visit was a meaningful expression of the college's belief that education extends beyond the classroom and that institutions have an important role to play in serving society, caring for the elderly, and contributing to the well-being of the community.
