The Department of
Electronics proudly celebrated the 25th Reunion of the 1997–2000 Batch on July
20, 2025. It was a heart-warming gathering of 22 alumni, current faculty
members, and former staff who came together to relive cherished memories, share
nostalgic moments, and reconnect with their alma mater.
The celebration began
with a warm welcome by Mr. Sankar Ganesh, Head of the Department, followed by
an inspiring Presidential Address by Dr. B. Makesh Kumar, Director, who
emphasized the enduring bond between the alumni and the institution.
Esteemed former faculty
members, including Mr. Rajkumar, Mr. Alwin Jose (a renowned scientist at ISRO),
and Mrs. Saraswathi, fondly recalled their experiences with the batch, stirring
memories of camaraderie and learning.
Alumni took the
opportunity to reflect on their professional journeys since graduation, evoking
pride and nostalgia among the attendees. Many expressed heartfelt gratitude to
their staff members for their lasting impact and guidance.
The event also sparked
forward-looking discussions, with alumni enthusiastically suggesting ways to
support the department’s growth. They expressed a strong interest in offering
internship opportunities, mentoring, and collaborative projects for current
students.
The reunion concluded with a touching Vote of Thanks and a group photograph that captured the spirit of the occasion. A nostalgic campus tour followed, leaving everyone with lasting memories and a renewed sense of connection to G.V.N. College.
